# The Incredible Tapestry — brand assets

Generated by `npm run build:brand` from the SVG masters in `brand/src/` and `src/_data/site.json`.
Edit the masters (or regenerate the primary mark with `node scripts/make-aa-mark.mjs` after changing its
numbers), run the script — or just push, CI runs it — and every file below is regenerated.

## The primary mark — circle, triangle, Venn (`logo/`)

The circle and triangle A.A. members know: the circle is the whole world of A.A., the triangle's three sides
are the Three Legacies, named the way a medallion names them — **Unity** (left), **Service** (right),
**Recovery** (base) — each side, its word and its circle in that legacy's colour. Inside the triangle three
circles overlap like a Venn diagram: where two meet, a Step and a Tradition (or a Tradition and a Concept)
share a principle; the shape where all three meet is the tapestry itself, the Fellowship. A stitched inner
ring hints at the loom. Built from pure geometry by `scripts/make-aa-mark.mjs`; every overlap is a flat shape
(no transparency), the words are outlined, so it prints exactly anywhere.

`mark-plain` is the same mark without the words — use it below about 120 px (favicons, app icons, the site
header), where the words could not be read anyway.

## The alternate mark — three woven triangles (`alt-weave/logo/`)

The earlier mark: three equilateral triangles, one per legacy, interlaced over and under with a soft Venn
flare inside. Kept in full (same file set) for anyone who prefers it or wants a secondary motif.

## Usage notes
- Keep clear space around a mark of at least a quarter of its width.
- Do not recolour the legacies; use the mono or reversed version when colour is not available.
- Minimum size: 120 px / 35 mm for the mark with words, 24 px / 8 mm for the plain mark, 120 px / 35 mm for the wordmarks.
- The circle-and-triangle is used here as the Fellowship's own long-standing symbol, in the spirit of A.A.'s
  guidelines for A.A. groups and events; it is not an A.A.W.S. trademark claim and the site is not affiliated
  with or endorsed by A.A.W.S.
